This project brief required the renovation of an existing federation home to include substantial additions to create a generous family home. Retaining the original brick building with the front 4 bedrooms the new addition includes a large open plan living room & kitchen with a covered deck to the ground floor providing a better connection with the rear yard. To the upper level the existing roof line was extended to the rear for a generous master bedroom with a terrace, study, walk in robe & ensuite.

The finishes to the rear present a contrast to the federation features retained to the front of the house. Travertine floors are used throughout & a combination of aluminium framed & cedar timber windows present a warm combination of materials & finishes.
